Notion for interior designers- an overview of databases
A few blog posts ago, I discussed the reasoning behind my build-along Notion portal for Interior Designers. I created a Whimisical board that will help explain how the databases connect together.

Yesterday, I posted my latest video on how to use Notion as an interior designer. In the first video, I created the hub, then in the 2 subsequent videos created the databases. I showed how I connected the databases together by using relations and we created a number of views for the databases.
In this fourth instalment, I thought we should take a step back and have a look at the overall strategy for creating this Notion Dashboard. I created a Whimsical dashboard to show how we can visualise each part.

In the first image, we can see a representation of the Notion Hub we created in Tutorial 1.
In this second image, I have split the business into four main areas: projects, operations, people and growth.
We have already created the Contacts Database and the Master Link Database. These databases will contain most of the data we will use every day in our research and operations. One of the beauties of this is that though we only have one database, which could be huge, we can create many different views of the same information.
You can see how, once we finish the hub, we only want to enter the information once and use the relations to connect each database together.
