TL/DR

WHAT IS COOLORS?

Coolors is a palette generator. The cool thing about Coolors is its beautiful interface and it is pretty easy to use.

I use it to put together palettes for my web design projects, interior designs and graphics. There are a few ways that you can use it.

HOW TO USE COOLORS

Firstly, you can upload an image and pick colours from it. You can use the slider to adjust the colours the way that you would like.

The next way that you can use coolors is by creating collages. These make beautiful graphics that you can put on your instagram. You can also use the collages as a reference on mood boards. Coolors takes the image and inserts it into a template. You can choose the size of the image and the way that the colours are presented. It is fast and easy.

Finally, I use coolors to create beautiful gradients which you can use as backgrounds on your website or on your graphics. One of the beauties of coolors is the large amount of filetypes that you are able to download your palettes. I save my main palettes and when I am designing, I have them open on a tab so that I can copy the colours.

Coolors is pretty reasonable for the price. There is a free account, but you can only save limited colours and palettes. A paid account is around $4 per month, which is pretty reasonable considering how much I use it. With a paid account you get unlimited colours and palettes, no ads and a lot more collage layouts.

I did a video explaining the main features of coolors and how I use it. You can see it below.
